Our story
Drawn together consists of two childhood friends who have combined their talents to build a business that merges their passion for art, event entertainment, and capturing special moments.
After years of pursuing our creative passions separately, we realised that working together made perfect sense. Laurie brings her skills in media, marketing and photography to the table, which facilitates Ellie’s expertise and creativity in drawing and fine art. In the creative industry, it can be difficult to balance both artistry with the business side of things. But, by joining our skills, we’ve built something that allows us to do what we love—bring art into people’s lives in a meaningful and memorable way. Our vision is simple: to create a special and unique experience at your event, one that celebrates your guests with hand-drawn artwork they can take home and treasure. With Laurie ensuring each fine detail is organised to perfection, by arranging the necessary equipment, managing all admin aspects of the business, and with the added ability to authentically capture your guests, this allows Ellie to put all her energy into the drawing to produce the highest quality of work, in as little time as possible to ensure we capture the essence of most of your guests at your special occasion with care and attention.

We aim to make the setup as hassle-free as possible. All we require is a 3m x 3m space for our table, chairs and display stand.

Laurie ensures your event runs smoothly, she works along side Ellie at your event, capturing moments, interacting with guests, keeping us organised and on track to deliver Drawn Together illustrations to you and your guests. With a background and expertise in media, photography and video production, Laurie handles everything from communications, planning, printing, marketing and logistics, to making sure your event is beautifully captured.
Ellie is our incredible artist, she brings your special moments to life with live drawn keepsake portraits. With a background in Fine art, and specialising in drawing, Ellie captures the essence of your guests through quick hand drawn sketches, making every event memorable. Using her skills in design and aesthetics, Ellie designs our media posts and marketing images to ensure our branding is unique and representing.
